This evening celebrates the release of OG’s long-awaited album, “Medicine.” The theme of this record is the medicinal role of music in the lives of the members of OG. This evening offers a punctuation mark to that expression. For this special occasion, we bring together a talented and diverse set of collaborators in the arts to give you a dose of the medicine that we all need.

Behind Oakland, CA-based ensemble Orchestra GOLD’s original sound is a decade-long story of knowledge, respect, and collaboration between Mariam Diakite of Mali and Erich Huffaker of Oakland. Blending the traditions of Mali and Psychedelic Rock, OG represents a world of powerful cross-cultural experience.

“I hope the audience is uplifted and this album brings them to a greater awareness of themselves and the cosmos. I hope the audience feels a sense of magic in the music. I hope the audience dances! I hope it creates a vibe of positivity and brings them closer to the people they love and their enemies, too,” Erich says.
